DESCRIPTION:My good friend Brian and myself did a four week ride across the USA by motorcycle.\nWe spent a few days exploring the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia\, the Wheels Through Time Museum\, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. From there we rode to Nashville Tn. to visit my daughter that lives there and then on to Georgia for the three day Barbor Vintage Motorcycle Festival. The equivalent of the Monterey Historic or Goodwood Revival except for vintage motorcycles. It takes place at the Barbor Motorsport Park which features a giant car and motorcycle museum\, a terrific race track with vintage motorcycle racing all weekend\, a swap meet\, and motorcycle show\, then Georgia where we will wandered our way across the USA all on back roads back to San Luis Obispo. \n \nBrian picking our next lunch stop.  Note this is our last Tuesday night\, we’ll have our Wednesday night reservations back next month.

DESCRIPTION:This meeting we will focus on ride safety with a presentation by long distance riders Cathy Novak and Ted Kapner. Ted just returned from a cross-country ride to Washington DC and Cathy is about to embark on a Route 66 round trip (CA – IL – CA)! Together\, they will lead a group discussion on ride safety including hydration strategies for hot weather and long distance rides\, what to carry on your bike in the area of first aid/roadside emergencies\, and a few tips (learned the hard way) on keeping yourself safe on the road. \nSee you there!

They will be hosting a pizza feed\, we will have a short meeting and then the owners of CoastRiders PowerSports will give us a tour of their shop and a tech talk. Should be fun so plan to attend! Plus I promise to have the membership cards sorted out for that meeting. DESCRIPTION:This will be our last meeting of the year and we have lots going on! \nFirst\nWe will have a slide show from noted motorcyclist John Tucker on his recent trips to the Barber Motorcycle Festival and to the Texas F1 race. \nSecond\nI would like to get some input and discussion for events next year. What you liked about the club last year and what could be improved next year. Suggestions for events and rides. We are always trying to improve the club and motorcycling on the central coast! \nThird (and finally) \nWe will have a “white elephant” style holiday gift exchange. If you want to participate in the gift exchange bring something for $10 or less. Make it either something funny or something practical for a motorcyclist (like chain lube? a bottle of wine?)\, or whatever you want to bring.. \nWe will also enjoy plenty of Petra Pizza. \nSee you there!

DESCRIPTION:Stop The Bleed First Aid Training\nThe September meeting will feature a special training class on First Aid. The Stop The Bleed class will start promptly at 6:30. This means that we will be starting our meeting 1/2 hour earlier than normal. Please plan to arrive at 6PM. We will have Pizza as usual\, then the class will start. \nPlease email us to sign up for the class. DESCRIPTION:Our June meeting will be at a new location\, PETRA Mediterranean Pizza and Grill located at 1210 Higuera St. San Luis Obispo\, CA 93401  \n \nPresenting at this meeting will be Young Lee\, founder of the M1 Grand Prix Mini Racing Series. M1GP now runs at the Santa Maria Karting Track one weekend a month and holds a fantastic rider’s clinic. The clinic is for anyone who want to improve their riding skills. All riders ride M1GP’s specially prepared Honda CRF50 (50cc) bikes. Several of our members have already been through the clinic and can attest to the curriculum. M1GP also runs at other tracks like Willow Springs and La Grangé. Don’t miss this great opportunity to learn how to become a more confident and safer (and yes faster – if that is your cup of Red Bull) rider.
