DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nVJMC 2026 National Rally \nSan Luis Obispo CA \nSeptember 17-20\, 2026 \nThe Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club of North America is inviting all our members and friends to join us at the VJMC 2026 National Rally – September 17-20\, 2026 in San Luis Obispo\, CA. This is the premier VJMC National Rally to be held on the West Coast!  The theme of this year’s Rally is “Celebrating Vintage Motorcycles.” This event will include all brands\, makes and models of motorcycles manufactured in 2001 or older and entrant judging with trophies awarded to 1st and 2nd place.  All motorcycles must be pre-registered.  The motorcycle show and swap meet will take place on Saturday\, September 19\, 2026 at SLO City Church\, 1775 Calle Joaquin\, San Luis Obispo\, CA. Event headquarters are located at SpringHill Suites by Marriott\, 701 Froom Ranch Way\, San Luis Obispo\, CA 93405 (just 2.3 miles show location). \nSaturday show motorcycle check in and swap meet set up will start at 7:00 AM and close at 9:00 AM; Entrants will receive one ballot for each bike entered.  Judging will be from 9:30 AM until noon.  Awards presentation will be at 2:00 PM. DESCRIPTION:  \nAnnual Pismo Derelicts New Year’s Day Garage Tour. \nThis ride is put on by Pismo Derelicts\, and is not an AMA sanctioned Coast-Riders ride.   Starts from the Golden Donut shop in the OSH/ROSS(829 Oak Park Blvd) shopping center in Pismo Beach\, at the intersection of Hwy 101 and Oak Park Blvd.  Members volunteer their homes or place of business to show off their cars.  It’s a lot of fun\, it’s like a big cruise\, great way to start the new year. Map to first stop is handed out at 9:00AM.  (Get there early around 8:30 to buy a donut and check out the cars.)  This is a progressive ride and the location to the next stop is provided at each stop.

DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nThis month’s presentation will be by Larry Coolidge of his tour of Japan in April which will include Tokyo\, (go-karting in the streets of Tokyo at night)\, views of Mt. Fuji\, Hakone\, Hikone\, Kyoto\, Nara\, Hiroshima and Osaka. Although he was not on a motorcycle he took pictures of motorcycles along the way and talked with many of their owners. \nWe have been searching for a new place to have meetings that serve pizza since we lost the exclusive use of the back room at Petra and club members Jack Ravin and Bob Wilson are Elks members and Bob was able to get the use of a room there.  You’ll be able to purchase your own meal at only $16.00 for all you can eat pasta.  To enter you’ll just need to sign in with Jack or Bob at the front door. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Road Ride to Chumash Museum Santa Ynez
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nSince we went north last month on a Sunday we will head south to another new location which is the recently opened Chumash Museum in Santa Ynez on Saturday July 19th.  Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for Seniors. We’ll take 166 to Tepusquet to Foxen Canyon to Ballard Canyon stopping for lunch at the Maverick Saloon in Santa Ynez.   Meet at American Riveria Bank\, 1085 Suite 100\, Higuera St\, San Luis Obispo\, CA 93401 at 9:00 AM for coffee talk and sign up.  Kickstands up at 9:30. We’ll meet the South county folks at 10:20 at Hwy 101 and 166 taking Tepusquet Road to Foxen Canyon to Hwy 154.  We’ll then proceed to the Maverick Saloon 3687 Sagunto St. Suite D.
